Materials & Construction

The Salomon AirTag Binding Disc is available in two high-performance materials, both proven on snow:

• PPA (Polyphthalamide Nylon)

• PA12 Carbon-Fiber Reinforced Nylon (PA12-CF)

Both materials are extremely strong, cold-resistant, and impact-tolerant, with zero functional issues to date. This is our third-generation disc, refined through real-world riding and feedback from over 2,000 discs sold.

Installation Recommendation (Important)

We strongly recommend installing the AirTag Binding Disc under your REAR foot binding.

Placing the disc under the rear binding offers two key advantages:

• Chairlift safety: If a binding were ever to loosen or fail while hanging on a chairlift, having the AirTag disc under the rear foot reduces the risk of the board tipping or falling.

• Control and ride safety: In the unlikely event of a disc-related issue, having it under the rear foot is more manageable and predictable than under the front foot.

Installation is identical to a standard binding disc. We recommend taking it easy on your first run after installation to confirm everything feels normal before riding aggressively.

Protection Where It Matters

A patent-pending insulating gasket surrounds the AirTag to help protect it from cold temperatures, moisture, vibration, and impact. The gasket also minimizes movement and abrasion, keeping the AirTag secure and discreet beneath your binding.
